Lets go over some star wars news when it comes to the original star wars sequel trilogy starting with the force awakens leading into the last jedi and star wars episode 9 etc. JJ Abrams is directing the disney version of star wars episode 9 right now and will be released next year. Luke Skywalker originally was going to be a huge role in the force awakens which was sadly scrapped!.
