Today it was announced that a new star wars trilogy will be coming sometime after star wars episode 9 that will be directed by Rian Johnson! the director of star wars the last jedi! Hwoever this 4th star wars trilogy will have nothing to do with the skywalkers! nobody connected to Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker or evene Kylo Ren / Ben Solo. It will dive into lore that has never been explored in the star wars universe.
